Congrats from a former owner of a box 1982 and 1988 Crown Vic.

1991 being the last year for these, I think your POTM "win" was well worth it, and wisely given to you, and I think you have a great looking car, and hope you enjoy it for many many years.

    It looks wonderful.

My experience also, is that these cars are the cheapest to run, dollar for mile, that I ever owned. Nothing mechanical that is worth mentioning, ever went wrong with them.

Best car FoMoCo ever made. And you got one of them!!!!

I've had to rebuild the trans in both of my panthers. The vic because the shuddering FAIL that the aero autos usually fail for. The GM cause it just needed new soft parts and I decided to upgrade to wide gears, HD OD, and a shift kit. The guy that rebuilt it said it would take 400HP easy now. now I just need an engine that will push it.

That and the aero window regulators are my only real issues.

I slowed down after because Im not an idiot, and I also made sure there was nobody around, but I guess I didn't slow down enough. Believe me I know it is not an excuse, thats just what went down. I don't bother trying to explain myself to officers, because in this case I was speeding and that is the fact of the matter, It really doesn't matter why. I think most people don't get that and thats why officers get pissed. He liked my car though, said Id do some damage to a drunk college kid with "this boat".
It's always cool when the cops compliment you on your car.

Ha, but your car has the HPP, so that is actually something to think about. Ive got way more money than the car is worth into it, so now Id better hold on to the damn thing. And thanks for the compliments, it means a lot.

PHOTO SHOOT! I had nothing else to do today, Sunday is my only day off so I usually just sleep in, then go out and sit on the porch and play some acoustic. I decided to go for a cruise after washing my car, and then I discovered the mud pit of a road to this place was dried up, so I swung in for some pics.

and one at the damn. Ive been trying to get up there but it is still closed so I pulled onto it as far as I could go. Im hoping they open up around here next week or so.

Me neither... Ha no matter what I do I need more, and it bugs the hell out of me there are no rear chromes on the car. Your car is going to look dead sexy when shes done though.

Thanks a lot guys, it means a lot, especially coming from you all. Ive put a shitload of work into the car, much of it before I was a member here. It is disappointing that I can't find the pics of the car in the shape it was when I got it. They were taken on a film camera, but I don't think they have been developed yet. Im still searching for rear chromes for the car so If anyone has any or knows of a place to get them I would be interested.
