If anyone asks ill just say it stands for "Granite State" and that is what the dealership was, Granite state mercury. Even though its a mass car from the Canadian plant.

Ok so Ive been tossing some names up in the air for my car. I want to have a rear window banner made for the upper part, above all the defroster lines. *It will be tastefully done. Anyway I have a few names for her and wanted to run them by you guys.

        1- "Shakedown"
        2- "Neon Sky"

Any suggestions are welcome too. Im just kinda fooling around right now.

I kinda like shakedown. It sorta looks like the kinda car the low-level enforcer in an 80s mob movie would drive. With those wheels and all that, I could just see it pulling up to some shady Chicago bar and a couple big guys getting out of it looking for protection money.

Damn, I just read WAY too much into that name.

I was going to put on mine "Mercury Makes It, Ford Shakes It". Most people don't know it's the same car behind the badge, lol.

For your car, I'd call it "The Blue Bullet".

Got pulled over today, The car doesn't look so granny anymore and I guess it draws a bit of attention. I was going 10 over the limit though and then there were those damned speed humps that I crawl over at like 2mph, so the guy probably thought I was also drunk. He gave me a verbal warning even though I didn't have my license on me. (lost my wallet and the new one is being mailed. The temp is made of paper and I have yet to buy another wallet so I don't carry it.) Turns out though for the most part if you are nice, calm, and honest the cops don't hassle you much and your in and out quick.

You lucked out. That is exactly why I don't run flashy wheels (even though I like them).

Yeah, it sounds like he was making sure you weren't drunk. At least you lucked out with the verbal. There's a statie out my way of the state, if you don't have your license you're screwed. She will make your life a living hell.

He actually Didn't say anything about the license, and was very nice. I was actually ready to accept a ticket. I normally don't speed, but I had just left applebees with co-workers, one of which who was tailing me with his high beams on to be a dick, so I decided to leave him in the dust. I slowed down after because Im not an idiot, and I also made sure there was nobody around, but I guess I didn't slow down enough. Believe me I know it is not an excuse, thats just what went down. I don't bother trying to explain myself to officers, because in this case I was speeding and that is the fact of the matter, It really doesn't matter why. I think most people don't get that and thats why officers get pissed. He liked my car though, said Id do some damage to a drunk college kid with "this boat".
