        It isn't high heat paint on the plate so well see if it lasts, if not ill re do it when I get the HO on there. Any recommendations on what high heat paint to use on the intake itself? also I explained earlier how to get the raised letters to be painted, its not that hard, just takes a little prep, I think it took me like an hour to do the whole thing with 3 coats of either color paint. Plus I know a kid with a blasting cabinet, so I suppose that is a pretty good advantage.

              I just used regular paint on mine. Has held up just fine. The intake doesn't get that hot.

                Ok I got around to mulling through storage (above the garage) and finding some of the parts that came with the car. My main question is about the cam shaft, will it work with the 302 and my plans for an HO swap. The rest of these pics is just for your viewing pleasure.

                The cam and spec sheet;

                The other parts;

                    Ive also got some new front chromes and the original rocker chromes that came on her, just no pics. Im hoping to have all the trim on her by spring when the new wheels and tires go on. My main goal a of now is to get as much tread burnt off these coopers as possible. oh yeah and figure out whats going on with that cam too. I just dont know what kind of lift this engine can handle, the duration etc.

                            Yeah Im not going to even think about having time to do the work until summer, when Im at least off from school, so Ive got the time. Im buying the heads this week, so after that its just the new computer, and maybe some headers, but I doubt ill have money for the H pipe so im thinking just leave it manifolds till then, although Id really like to get down to two high flow cats.

                                yeah thats what im thinking any recommendation on what headers to go with, Ie ones that wont leak, pretty much anything is going to be better than the pile of back pressure and restriction ive got now, I looked at the cat placement today while changing the oil, and greasing everything, and just started laughing, theres like 2 90* angles and then the manifolds, its a shame to do all that work to the engine and not give it the room it needs. Also bought new rotors, pads, and bearings for the front. There was now warning tab on these pads so I got the nice metal on metal grind as my notification, and I was keeping an eye on the pad left too, I guess not close enough. Oh well I just assume replace it all while im working on it anyway.
