    Serenity...

I debated a while, coming up with a name for my 92 Grand Marquis but since I'm such a big Firefly fan, only one name fit...

    Serenity.

Fits too. She's a sweet ride with good power. Not the prettiest boat in the 'Verse but she'll fool ya'.

    Anyway.. on with the pics...

That's the mileage I've been getting around town with a heavy foot

the only real bad spots on the whole body... Left

    And right.

All in all, not a bad car for $1,200

Nice aero!!! It looks like the rear license says "Lick Me" in graffiti on the second pic.

Nahhh... I just swirled out my plate a bit.

She's a nice ride for sure. Got a few little gremlins like TC shudder (gonna change the fluid to Mercon V) and the odd scratch here and there but overall, the car is in awesome shape for the year.

I plan to upgrade to a dual exhaust and maybe wheels and tires as I can afford them. The car wasn't beat on, as the previous owner (who bought it new from a local dealer, I have the original window sticker) is over 80 and she can no longer drive.

Nice car. (I've seen that movie BTW)
As bad as NH is with their road salt, you guys in VT get it far worse.
Might want to look under/inside the top of the front fender arches. That's another place rust likes to creep through (from the inside).

I know... My 94 CV had that. So did the 96 Vic I was looking at. I checked the lips and so far so good. As soon as I get the spots fixed, I'll be hitting her with a nice oil undercoat. There are still a few shops that still do that around here if you know who to ask.

Guy I went to High School with does it in his shop, will run me about $60.

Yup, I know of at least two places that do that here as well.
Will be on my to-do list this fall.

......I actually wonder how hard it would be to do with a simple sprayer and a place to do it.

Not bad at all. 17mpg in town with a heavy foot is good.

Yep... the rear view fell off. I'll get that back on this week along with doing the headlights with the 3M kit. The tires were the ones that came on the car. I just hit em with some tire cleaner and turtle wax, wet tire foam.

I'll start the rust repairs as soon as it cools down in a couple of weeks. 90 plus and humid is not good weather for working outside.

When I save up the cash for wheels and tires, I'm thinking kinda old school with 15" American Racing 5 slot mags and a set of BFG Radial T/A's.

I also lucked out for the winter. A neighbor just got rid of a late 80's box MGM and has 4, 15" snows mounted on steelies. $50 for the set.
