Do you have a few tips for heat-gunning the pinstriping without damaging the paint? My experiments so far have failed, which is why I've been planning on getting one of those 3M "vinyl erasers". Though, I could see where the heat-and-scrape method could work better with a stripe that's not 28 years old and heavily oxidized.
The "eraser" is by far the easiest way to do it. Just don't stay in one area too long, because it can heat the paint up from the friction. But you really have to get carried away with it before it will do any damage to the paint.
