lol - not sure whether the 5'2" makes you luckier or less lucky than I am. My wife is 5'0", but she basically refuses to drive any Panther (her parents almost always had Cavaliers and she thinks the longer hood means she can't see).

I get the idea my dad's wife, though fairly close to his height, prefers a somewhat different seat setting than him but gets unhappy when he adjusts it!

Whoops! That would be 20 years, not 10! Good grief. Has it been THAT long?

I bought my first part for this baby today: Windshield wipers.

The car has tiny rainX units and one doesn't mount correctly and flops around. Can't have my purty windshield scratched up, ya know.

Last time I started fixing up something was another Royal Star I dumped $25K in. Well, at least the back seat is big enough I can sleep in it if I have to. LOL!

Niice. That thing looks real clean and purty. I like the choice of engine and colour too!

Split benches are extremely common. Actually the solid bench is nearly as rare as buckets. Only the really base models got that. Many people opted for the split for exactly the reason you're not digging the solid bench. They are surprisingly comfortable though. I actually like the feel of the cheapie base Vic solid bench better than the LX bench, which I think needs a lot more padding.

Well, as anything we spend time with reveals its imperfections, so to does this bluesmobile.

Found some nasty rust bubbling out of the paint on the lower front passenger door. Didn't catch it before, wouldn't have changed anything, I would still get it.

Basically she's a babe from 30 ft, but shows her age close up. Ain't nuttin wrong with that, just part of the program. But like most ladies, her core is good. It runs pretty darn good.

I need to change the oil. Sticker on the windshield says it was last changed in 2007, 2000 miles ago.

I took a look at the VV Carb. Varnish up the wazoo! Gonna need to get some cleaner in there.

I got two Vics, the 91 wagon and the 83, but the 83 has character.

Got a manual on the way so that will help a lot with getting the mechanicals in order and I'll have the tags and insurance squared away tomorrow. We'll see what she has on the road. Mainly she just needs love.

I'd have to agree. The seat is very comfortable, even worn like it is. The seating position is so much better than my truck. I got a feeling once I get the shocks and AC fixed, the truck will be spending more time parked. Which is fine because it's a gas hog.

I must say, I really like listening to this motor. Even with the single exhaust it sounds good. I can hear the cam in the thing. My V6 truck sounds like an old school bus. My 351 sounds like a car with a real motor.

Thanks! I'm tempted to keep the look with those covers. make it better, but keep it looking just like this. Mostly.

Eventually, I'd love to have it repainted properly. It's purty now, but there's evil under there.

Seriously? I'd assumed the full bench was much more common, since I seem to see a lot more full-bench cars up for sale than bucket seat cars.

I did say nearly, which does imply buckets are more rare . Lots of split bench cars, not so many solid bench, few bucket cars. I've seen exactly one solid bench car out of however many Vics I've laid eyes on, and I don't recall ever seeing a bucket seat car. All the others have been splits.
