even when you don't do all of it yourself! i'm sure i would have had it working just fine, but the wiring is way neater than it would've been had i done it.

That bit of road basically only exists so workers can get to the power plant, just over the horizon, right on the edge of the ocean. About two minutes behind me on that road are two disused mines, which the road USED to exist solely for. Now there's hardly anybody out there, ever - it's just for making tire smoke and drag racing

If you can unplug plugs then that is pretty much all you have to deal with to do that.
just make sure you plug them back in all the way lol. I don't know on newer cars, but at least when I did mine, I didn't plug my cluster back in all the way. I had no fuel gauge, turn signals, cruise control, radio, tail lights, and NO ALTERNATOR CHARGE!!!!! I ended up taking it to where my dad works (10 miles away) and the car died on me less than a few blocks away, we had no idea what the hell went wrong (checked all of the fuses, replaced battery) until we finally pulled everything apart to learn it wasn't plugged in all of the way.

Got my tilt switches in the mail today. I am going to run one of them in the trunk with some blue LED light strips, likewise for under the hood. Going to put some in/around the cabin to trigger with rocker switches. This stuff is fun as fuck
