    1987 Towncar

This is my 87 towncar it orginally hails from florida, it is a very clean car with virtually no rust what so ever, it needs some tlc and a paint job. i plan on making it into a slicktop, as well as adding a rpoiler(you know like the chargers has on them) and a hood scoop which intersting ly enough is a ford part for an older car, at anyrate it starts up with almost no hesitaion at all and its sorta growly,i plan on getting super 44 flows for it eventually so that it gives it an agressive sound, I know that a scoop and a spoiler might sound a little off,but i have this really weird taste for luxory and muscle mixed together, and sooo my basic plan is to make this for showANDgo the show part is easy, the go on the other hand..well i have my eyes on a 96 exploder motor cheap so im thinking of dropping that in. anyways i wish you all a awsome day and feel free to comment!!!! Remeber if it aint fast ...well you have a really nice cruiser .-zoomie

Nice lincoln and welcome to GMN! I see cloth interior and a mint looking leather wrapped steering wheel... my favorite combo! I'd put the money on the Explorer motor before the wing and hoodscoop, but that's just me!

Nice car! Good luck with your project. What syle of hood scoop are you considering?
I went with a cobra jet style on my 84 Vic after seeing a late 70s Lincoln in HotRod with one. It looks real aggressive without being obnoxious.

Do yourself a favor and have the top replaced. There is a fiberglass surround around the rear window, and if you remove the top you'll have some really ugly crap under there that won't be terribly practical to make it look good.

That fiberglass MAY only be on a car that has the cloth roof shit. Just a thought. I for one would LOVE to see a well done slicktop towncar!
