    My new CVPI

As you all know my 2001 CVPI was totaled.

So after the insurance paid out I bought a Gold 2003 CVPI.

I miss the old one but I am happy with this new one.

Nice! Neato color, and the new-for-'03 underpinnings are supposed to be a blast to drive on.

What became of the old car? Doesn't look like it was really damaged that badly ....

I love the color. I saw a one just the other day and thought what a cool color. Much better than plain white.

The insurance companies don't like those creases in the quarter panels. If you see those on anything more than a few years old, you an bet on it being totalled.

Nice new ride though! How's the '03+ suspension compare to the '02-?

I love driving the 03. The car corners better then anything I've owned, and that includes my 84 Mustang I had several years ago.

To answer your question I tried to keep the car but USAA would not go for it. It was very repairable, in fact it drove away from the scene, but the rear quarters were buckled and the body shop estimated 5500 dollars to fix it.

I thought about it but I kinda like it the way it is. If it was white then definitely, but you don't see very many this color and I Would kinda like to have the open front end on this one.

I will have a set on my 91 project tho.

Usually only covers military and govenment employees... But is a private company.

Is it better than the usual suspects like State Farm or Auto Owner's?

State Farm won't insure me because I drive 70+ miles one way to work. They say it's too much of a risk.

I am on this one. I think they just don't want to do business in Florida anymore.

Unfortuneatly the old wheels will not work on the 2003 and newer CVPIs because of the suspention changes that went into effect then. I like the old wheels but will gladly trade them for the better handleing of the newer car.

When they sell the police interceptors with the spotlights, are they usually still hooked up and working, or do they unhook them? Been wondering that.
