I was lead to believe they were arp bolts when the were purchased from trick flow yeas back. I then purchased the exact same part number and actual stamped arp bolts appeared in that package...you know the time I needed to replace the ones on the passenger side.
I can post up a picture or two when I am back home. Bolt bore in the exact same manner and location just on opposite heads.~David~

Well we know that it wasn't David's fault, with his attention to detail.
Unless he was using an impact to install his head studs..__________________________________________________

Things were done properly. Again, all of this stuff was originally installed onto the block while on an engine stand. No rushing was involved. I third the "DERP" bolts.~David~

Trickflow seems to have issues with their tools and fasteners. I personally wouldn't trust anything from them other than the thick metal items (like heads). The valve spring compressor I got broke on the second valve. The OTC one, Scott probably still has.

I never understood why companies don't just stick to things they are known and respected for, and instead try to branch out into other areas that are already occupied with good products from other manufacturers - the only way to do this competitively is for the newcomer to either have some super-awesome product that is light years ahead of everything else currently on the market (not very easy to pull off), or to keep their prices low (which can only happen if either a new manufacturing method is employed, or quality is kept sub-par, or profits are being sacrificed). Only so many manufacturing methods out there, and we all know how greedy larger business entities can get, so yeah, that leaves pretty much one scenario - basically fuck the consumer. Too bad David here had to pay the price for this BS practice. The ones who accomplish true greatness, are the foolish who keep pressing onward.

It sucks but now I know not to mess around with an engine build. go with actual ARP stamped bolts or nothing.
