After a 4 hour round trip..... The car was not worth it. It had been hit hard on the driver's side, lots of play in the steering and other things wrong with it. They did not entertain a $1000 offer - holding fast to $1700.

Looked at some local lots on the way home and they were even worse. One car looks to have been repainted at the beach during a heavy wind ("A little wet sanding and it'll look fine") dash pad severely cracked and speakers missing. One was a GS with no options. Manual seat did not go back as far as a power seat and no tilt wheel, either. Tight fit!

Cruised CraigsList and will be looking at 90 LS tomorrow. Dark grey, light grey cloth, all options except leather. Air suspension bypassed and air shocks in place, but compressor and all is still there and operable, could hook it all back up if I wanted to.

Needs an antenna, but local stations still come in. Aftermarket CD player (YAY!), tranny rebuilt last year due to a slight slip between first and second. This is the second owner and the car shows excellent in the pics.

Asking $1500, seller is flexible. Thinking of offering $1200. Oh, yeah, odometer doesn't work (gee, where have I heard that before?)! How hard is it to replace the gear? Car only has about 12K over the odo reading.

Better yet, it's only 15 miles from home and a mile from my office.

      Getting closer.....
