    Getting Redy For Paint!!

    Well the merc is %95 redy for paint, i was just gonna do a quick job but i have now decided to do it proper and take off the all the trim so it will be the same colour under the trim when i reinstall it. yes its going red, gonna paint it this friday nite after i finish up a lil bit more body work... some pics of progress

      I see you have been busy for the past week. Lookin good. Yea if you take all the trim off the paint covers better.

        Looking good! Just spray it down with the hose and look for any wavey spots you may want to smooth out a little more before you send it off.

          yes thats the plan, fourtunatly i wont have to send it off to get painted since my dad can paint cars, and i alredy have the paint hardener and reducer so it wont cost me anything, the paint im putting on it is a pure red (no colour aditives just red) urathane pant so i wont need to clear it

            Nice, but why is it light red on some parts of the car? Like the three spots on the trunk.

                            Oh, did you put bondo over the bare metal, b/c I have a spot like that on my trunk (where there was rust and I sanded it out) and I don't know if I should.

                              Looking good!

                              Do you know how to take off those early-style side mirrors? I've not spent too many oodles of time on mine, but for now they've got me stumped.
