        Thanks mang !!!

We just found a 1986 Counrty Squire, I cant tell if it has the towing package or not, it has the trailer harnes and diagram for it, has dual exhaust, but no oil/trans cooler

But, I got the fender braces and air dam from it, and the factory braces are puny compared to mine lol , I also got a black dome light from a thunderbird, I think it looks nice. Sometime next week im getting the front bumper, because im pretty sure its aluminum.

I was thinking of getting the rear springs for mine, would that be bad to get used springs ??? And is there anything else i should take off of the wagon ???

        Enjoy the pics.

Well, it's time to do another update I suppose...

After fighting with the exessive amount of blow-by I was getting, I finally did a compression check. On my gauge, it read I was only getting ~60 PSI in all 8 cyl. and around 90-100 when i put a squirt of oil in the cyl. I know its hard to believe, but this thing is very sluggish right now And I'm pretty sure I could run an air tool off of all the blow by im getting.

So today, we are going to pull the engine, put everything on the '96 explorer block, and drop that in.

Is there anything else i should know when switching everything. And would it be wise to advance the cam 4* to get a little extra torque.

          Thanks

Used springs should be fine as long as the spring height under load is acceptable. The spring rate should not change over time, provided that the coils' heat treatment hasn't been mucked with somehow (like with deliberate torch application).

You need to put a different cam in that sucka. At least an HO cam advance 4 degrees...

And now, a very short write-up on my engine build.

First we were going to just pull my engine, swap heads, oil pan, intake, etc. and put it back in. Well one thing led to another, and another, and another... So now I ended up having a completeley rebuilt engine ready to be put into my Merc. We replaced everything, rings, bearing, all gaskets, so it should be a big difference in feel when it goes back in.

Now, the engine is completely Re-built and ready, but i have to wait until saturday to put the engine back in.

So, here are some pcs of the build

                  Enjoy.

You mean the paint on the heads ??? I dont know what it is, my cousin bought it a few months ago for his car, and i used it, i really like it too lol.

Yesterday, we finally got the engine in and man was that a pain, esp. with the headers on, and we also got it to start. She fired right on the first turn over. She sounds really nice now, has a good rumble.

Drove it around the block, and she is pretty quick now, put it in D and punch it, it starts spinnin the wheels pretty easily, not super amazingly, but alot better than what it was lol.

But the worst thing, I have to wait 500 miles to break it in

And heres just a few pics of the engine in...
