GMGT's 1965 F100
Here's my newest aquistition!
240 I6/3 on the tree
3.25 rear

Nice! Looks to be doing well for it self.
Dad has a 61 that he restored several years ago. 61-63 were the only years to be Uni-body design. Has a 292 Y-Block motor with a Holley 600CFM 4-barrel. All the restoration was by himself, even the paint. He spent a whole month body workin' the hood to the perfect shape.

Looks like that 1bbl has been replaced. Probably a good thing if its been sitting, 40 year old carbs get really stupid.
I like the 60s Ford trucks. We had a 66 F150 with a 352 and a 3 on the tree and my uncle's perpetual restore (aka it sits in the garage doing nothing) is a 68 F100 352 with a 4 on the floor. He retrofitted power steering on his though. He used to use it as a daily driver, and his wife would back the boat down the ramp. She had a hard time with the manual steering and he hated fighting with it too.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

You need to Red/White Tu-tone that beast! They're good trucks.
My dad has a '66 F100 SWB he's had since the 1970's. It had the 240 sixer with a 3.89 gears or something like that. He said it ran good, but he got a deal on a 352 and swapped it over, He drove it like that for 275,000 and replaced the 352 with a 390 a couple years ago. He swapped the rear to a 3.00 for highway use.
Also got a '64 F250 LWB. It's got a 390 transplant from a '67 Merc. Got the granny gear 4-speed, now with 4.10's over the 4.56's it came with!1990 Country Squire - under restoration

Feels like any other truck from the 50's 60's, like your floatin' on air. The only difference is that since the body is one piece, they don't ever sag like separate bed trucks do after lots years oh hauling. And almost every time somebody says "yeah well the body will wrinkle" I've yet to see 1 uni-body pickup that was wrinkled. And my dad's has seen some hard work in its 47 years, it was a pure working truck for over 15 years when Dad's Grandfather owned the truck, and he owned a service shop. Did tons of log hauling and dragging around our home, towed cars, and hauled countless engines.
