It's a lot simpler than any other new cars I've looked at lately. This one will stay stock. I think :smirk:

    Found a nice little surprise:

No prop rods on the econo-sedan FTW!!!

    And now some other pictures:

If you look closely, some of the rear diff is visible.

After driving it more, it seems to handle and accelerate a lot better than the Fusion. Another nice surprise since the Fusion's best attribute is it's handling.

Thats the case on alot of Subaru's... To be honest, it almost looks like a quickchange.

Tis nice looking and all; takes the stress off of getting the "POS" into emissions passing condition for a while too.

Yes, I do feel somewhat relieved. I should probably drop in an Exploder motor in the POS, sell the 351 from air cleaner to oil pump, and send the car to a body guy. After that I could call it done, I guess. Until the itch for heads/pistons/turbo started to bug me again.

and hey...at least it's still a "blue oval"

Your saying it looks mean starts to offset the fact that most of the women at work think it's cute. So much so that when I went out last night and met up with a bunch of friends from work, I took the Fusion, LOL. Also didn't want a new car parked in a lot full of departing drunk drivers, too. You make an interesting observation on the starry oval I never thought of before. Thanks Colin!

Started playing around with the car since it's been raining every day, all day, since I brought it home. Sharp turn in the rain under throttle and the thing is glued to the road. 170 HP/TQ is not going to be able to break the tires loose unless I do a major Scandinavian Flick at an insane rate of speed.

My nose cleared up today, and it does smell new. Not overpowering at all. It's not going to last long with the occassional picking up carry-out and pizza on the way home from work. My 3 and 4 year old kids are going to be the first to break in that funky Ivory interior I'm sure.

It's in the trunk, a mini-spare with full-size diameter. Where was it before?

Even with a front-mounted engine? Or was that one one of the old rear-engine models?

Boy, that sounds weird. And potentially hard to get to.

I thought some of the really old looks-like-a-Beetle-but-smaller models were rear engine.

                              It's much different? Is it a 5-door?

The only Subaru's I liked the look of were the 04-07 STI's. The new 5 door STI's look like ass to me, and not like a hot woman's ass but like a fat old guy's hairy ass with racing streaks.
