you need to get the headliner pulled and probably replaced. with no plugs in the roof it is gonna ruin the headliner unless it already has. you got yourhands full with this project though i will give you that

She looks worse then she really is, I would not have taken on the car if I didn't know I can fix her up. The main problem I have is just getting more parts with out a ride to the U-pull its pretty hard.
I do have one big question though, I cannot find the build sheet, I looked under both seats and its not there, where else could it be? The car is a 1999 CVPI and it is in fact a true P71.

AND YES IT RUNS GREAT,SOUNDS GOOD TOO!

Yeah, sometimes around here they use whatever they can get....Ever see a P71 Grand Marq? neither have I...Unless it was special ordered with police stuff, there is ONE that I know of here in the clackamas county we sat in traffic next to it it LOOKED like a nice normal grand, But it had Bucket seats, the center console, cage, duel exhaust, and hidden lights and a uniformed officer in the front....

But any hoo.....About my build sheet, anybody have idea's on where to look for it?

Wherever they decided to stick it, which could be almost anywhere. Look under the trunk mat, also. Could be in the dash somewhere...like I said, pretty much wherever they decided would be a good idea to stick it.

Looks like you'll be needing new seats...I see mildew growing on them.

Ah, the build sheet. We had a '99 P71 all apart (and I mean all apart; ever see the thread on my dad's black P71 that we "clipped"?) and never found the build sheet. As you can tell from the pics, there isn't much else that could have been taken apart. I had the better part of the dash apart too, and never found the build sheet. So, either it was tossed out in a careless deconstruction (which is unlikely), or it was removed prior to our ownership...

As a matter of fact, we had a '98 taken apart to the same level, and never found the build sheet either. More than likely that sheet burned up though (the car was a burner...).

Thats a project, Jay, but you're off to a good start. I would coat the floor in something to prevent it from future rust. Unfortunately, you car has a tan interior, and every one I've ever seen has had unreasonably dirty seats. All the cars on Ebay with that color interior also seem to have strange stains on the seats (the front ones at least). I managed to pillage a set of nice dark grey seats from our parts car. They were mint (with 66K on the clock). I guess it depends on who owned it, but the tan seats always seem to be worn more.

If I were you, I'd try and find a carpet too. The rubber mat cars are great for vacuuming, but they are louder inside. The carpet provides a nice sound barrier, especially for road noise.

Anyway, they are nice cars. My Dad's P71 has been a great car thus far. The 3.55 gears are pretty nice too...
