What type of bulbs are they? You might have better results with a different type, depending on how the light is spread through the cluster. If the cluster has the optic layer with the little 'collectors' in front of the bulbs (like 90-91 boxes), the older side-emitting ones don't work as well.

I haven't gone that far into the cluster yet. So far as the optic layer is concerned, it doesn't have the green film that I've seen in some newer Fords....if that's what you're talking about, lol.

So far as how the light is spread through the cluster....I think it's just a problem on that one side.

So far as which bulb I used....it's the Autometer LED 194 replacement, in blue; there's only one LED bulb that they sell, in four colors.

Glad you're worrying about important stuff like gauge lighting and PCV filters.

          1. The plugged filter was causing the car to smoke.

          2. I'm thinking of using the stock short block for an upgrade. It runs great now.

          3. I already had the LED's from another project.

Focusing on the details is critical to the success of any build.

                You own a rolling freezer.

Actually, right now it's a stationary freezer. No engine, no wheels.

This image above gives you an idea of just how wide this freaking engine is, and how it really doesn't fit in this car.
Do any of you guys think I can make something like this fit in my heap (the 2005-up V10 engine), and free up a bit of room between the passenger-side V/C and the shock tower? The V8 thing is really getting to be boring....

custom solid (ie: no rubber... just straight bolt in shaft type) motor mounts and space it over to the driver side IF there's any room over there.

That would definitely be unique. You could probably pull it off since the car isn't a DD. 1 question Pirate: How long will that car stay n/a after you get that V-10 in there?

More than likely....permanently. Judging by how little room in there there is for a blower with the 5.4 Lightning engine....I don't think adding a turbo/blower is going to be an option, lol.

However, given that the 6.8 is already a torque monster....I'd just add a single turbo to the car, and be done with it, should it require more power.

The only problem with doing this V10 swap is that I'm becoming addicted to the way this car sounds with the exhaust system I currently have on the car....and I'm really curious how the same exhaust system would sound behind a V10....but I think I would add an X-pipe and Borla mufflers to the system, as the Flowmasters are a bit tinny.

Nothing is happening with the car right now, I'm focused entirely on getting a business up and running....but it's not going to sit this way forever.

Uh yeah, it could work....if you'd just do it and stop talking about it so much. Damn.

I'm buying tires next week for the Turd. Michelin Hydroedge, 235/60r 16, meant to be temporary.

                                Why tires?

It's going back on the road. The wife insists.
