a few more pics of bil's exhuast being installed, altho we cant get the pipes to seal very well with the headers, and the down pipes are 2 inch,, hmm, mess with it some more tomorow

looks like the pipes are a lil low but thats just beacuse we havent fabed up any hangers yet

You're running headers on stock downpipes? Same setup as me...it sorta works, but it's leaky. I kind of suspect that I'm getting a little CO in the car, though, so that's coming off ASAP, and I'd suggest you don't leave this car with this setup on it for too long for the same reason.

No problem Bil, soon you'll be hot rodin around in no time.

So do the headers have different doughnuts than the stock manifolds?

Yeah, the header flanges are made for the 2.25" Mustang exhaust system, whereas the log manifolds are made for the Panther 2" system. They fit, kinda, but it's a little leaky. Go look in my readers' rides thread for the Crown Vic--I've got pictures in there of how they fit.

well, i really want to run the mustang shorty headers, likei dont wanna go back to manifolds, anything else i can do to keep the headers and h-pipe?

                          Comment

even if its leaky for now i think it should be alright cuz after safety, im droppin convertors and ill get new flangers and pipe right to the h-pipe
