    The LTD hearse

Here's my baby, she's a 1986 Ford Crown Vic LTD (but you already knew that). Started life as a custom-order Country Squire shipped to MFT Professional Vehicles here in PA and converted for use as a hearse. Full rear deck conversions were rare with these cars, most just got a fold-flat seat and vinyl roof for "first call" (pickup) duties. This one, however, recieved a complete bier table with rollers, vinyl top with landau bars, and coach lamps behind the rear windows. I don't know much about the history of the car beyond the previous owner, who was in a local hard rock band called Jacob's Ladder. He moved to Philly and could only take 1 car with him, so he sold the hearse to me for $450! Granted, it needed a bit of motor work and the rear interior was gutted, but for less than $500, what do you expect? Anyway, I've got a little work done to her, including a homemade cold air kit with a K&N filter, a 2.25" glasspack muffler, and a Sony Xplod reciever and 6x9 speakers. Next will be a set of Cragar SS wheels and some BFG rubber, hood scoop, and maybe some side pipes. There are a couple of pics attatched, check 'em out!

      Nice car!

I'd bet money you found that car on craigslist a few months back. If I remember correctly it needed some cooling system work?

Yep, needed a water pump and a radiator. It was leaking tranny fluid from the pan, and there was a whole bunch of carbon buildup in the intake and TB. A trip to Advance Auto Parts and an afternoon's worth of wrenching later, she was running like new.
