    Got some more goodies!

well, my uncle slapped on the Demon Carb today...no charge....just asked me to buy him and his buddy some Hot n Ready pizzas and some Coke....worked for me.
    anyway, here's some pics.
he also installed those plug wire looms for me...I like em.

and my battery has taken a crap on me...so I bought one from him since he sells Interstate Batteries there.

my buddy Gary in Indiana has the full length Pass. side....when I get it back, the full lengths go on and it goes to the dyno.
later on...in '08, it will get a full 2.5" exhaust.

Sweet dude... the connectors really clean it up. I won't go without 'em, lol.

Interstates are REALLY good batteries too.

Ditto on that. Sure looks good, though.

I assume the TV cable is now properly adjusted?

Funny, looks like you ended up with about the same battery I did when my four-year-old Motorcraft battery took a crap round about August (plenty of charge, but won't push any juice). That green top is butt-ugly, but they do seem to work well!

                  looks great man...
Give a man a fish and he will be fed for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will promptly forget that he once did not know, and proceed to call anyone who asks, a n00b and flame them on the boards for being stupid.

How did the horizontal looms work out on the passenger side? I'd figure the AC compressor would be in the way over there, unless they sit under the compressor.

                      and yeah, how's it run/shift?

You needs some new AC lines too mang, those crusty old things aren't lookin so hot. R12 still too eh? does it work still?

You might also want to ask your uncle about re-plumbing the PCV line. Looks like it runs through the vacuum tree. I'm not sure how well that tree will deal with oil mist. Probably also can't be doing anything good for the amount of vacuum the booster gets. Ideally that should go directly to a fitting on the bottom of the carb. The tree can run to a fitting on the manifold if there aren't any more on the bottom of the carb.

well, I plan to yank that AC off of there...so, that wont be a problem soon enough.

it runs a lot smoother than the Holley.
really pulls better on the high end....if I'm on the hwy, gaining speed isn't a problem.
but it still feels like it needs some fine tuning...I'll take it over to Turbo's shop and ask his buddy to tune it right with the disty advance kit...getting running like it should.
choke likes to stay shut a little too long...so I think we need to adjust it to open sooner.
but other than that, great Carb.

Do Holley-based units have a big dedicated PCV tube at the base of the carb like Edelbrocks do? That's what I use, but it won't help someone who doesn't have one ...

No idea. I forget how the PCV got routed on Phayzer's carb, which is Holley based. I don't recall it going to the tree, but I could be wrong. I seem to vaguely recall there being enough connections on the carb base for it.
