IMO whitewalls are better. besides not everyone here can afford cragers or any aftermarket rims. nor the tires that would look good on them.

RWL tires don't have to be expensive. My friend has Firestone Firehawk Indy 500's on his truck (bad idea to get passenger tires on a truck) and they cost him about 60 bucks each. So you can pay maybe 65-75 bucks for good RWL truck tires, which isn't bad.

there are only ever going to be whitewalls on my car. EVER.

            no white letters, thanks.

it's all about being classy. RWL are not classy.

Wide whitewalls look classy, the thin lined whitewalls just look cheap. And RWL tires aren't meant to look classy, they're meant to look more agressive which is why so many muscle cars came with them.

the pin stripes aren't bad on some of the big rides...just rather have black - not so much a grandpa look that way.

I prefer the black sidewall, with a nice sidewall design. I like the YOKO AVID S/T's I have for my other wheels. The black sidewall looks modern; its appealing to me.

I do not like RWL tires, especially when they are mounted on Cragar S/S wheels. That is so hideous...

I do not like the thin whitewalls, as they make it look far too grandpa-ish.

I like wide whitewalls mounted on high gloss red wheels. You need chrome lugs and perhaps a spider cap on there to round it out. Then, the car needs to be painted suede (either black or gray; preferably black). No whitewalls for me, unless its in accordance with the outline above.

But, and this is most important; to each his own, right?

I really fail to see the connection between whitewalls, chrome trim, and old people.

I'm barely legal an I dig on them. [well, trim and tires. not the elderly.]
