2012 Mazda5 Touring | Finally working on the LTD again!

I guess I'm not following what you mean by shorty headers with the tubes arranged like long tubes. There are "bundle of snakes" equal-length shorties you can buy, if you like burned spark plug boots and scraped knuckles ... :p
Flowtech's 12106 is the only 1.5"-primary shorty for 5.0 Mustangs I'm seeing on Summitracing.com at the moment. Dynomax 85048 is a mid-length header similar to what DuceAnAHalf (I think) has on his 351 car, not sure how they'd fit with a 302. Summit G9074 and BBK 1515 are 1-5/8" shorties for 302 what would be a bolt-on with a 302 and Mustang H-pipe or require a little fabricating with a 351. BBK's 1511 is a 1-5/8" primary shorty designed for 351W swaps into Fox Mustangs; mysteriously, torquelover reports that he couldn't get them to work right on his 351 car with a Mustang H-pipe and still had to piece together the front of his exhaust to match up.2012 Mazda5 Touring | Finally working on the LTD again!

hehe. Actually, my future plans for the stock Mustang headers on my LTD is to remove the aftermarket H-pipe, get some 2.25" female ball flanges from NAPA, and try my hand at making my own 2.25" H or X pipe specifically to fit the chassis. Too many annoying issues with the mid pipes not being *quite* long enough. :p2012 Mazda5 Touring | Finally working on the LTD again!

don't think so ... isn't a wagon the same wheelbase as the Vic/MGM sedans, with the Town Car being the one that's a little longer?
And yeah, I'm running stock-size mufflers with 19" cases.2012 Mazda5 Touring | Finally working on the LTD again!

*UPDATE*
Cleaned the Alternator bracket, the fan shroud, the crankshaft pulley and the belt tensioner, primered and painted them a nice satin finish Black.
Got the camshaft and lifters back in, replaced the head, and the valve pan covers.
Only thing left is to replace the timing chain cover after dialing the cam in, and re-installing the intake manifold along with the rest of the re-assembley, pics soon....
The re-painted parts look AWESOME, never really thought that the smaller parts would make an impact, but they do.....sigpic1991 Crown Vic 351w 5.8L
