Whoa......is that your wagon project??? Damn, your pretty quick at that. That friggin thing looks great mang!!!!!

And for all you window crank haters:shutup:. At least a manual window won't leave the window in a precarious position when it decides to die. And even if it did die in the closed position, you still have to open your door at the tolls and the Mc Donalds drive thru to pay. Pfffffft @ you window crank haters.

you've never had a crank window regulator fail? I have. Cranks also break, they're made of cheap pot metal. The gears inside strip out. Same problems, just slightly different cause. 20 years out of an electric motor with gimpy plastic bushings isn't really bad, especially when it costs 7 bucks to rebuild it. Replacement cranks cost just as much. Also you don't get the joy of getting the piece out that the crank sits on because the splines stripped out, and the crank spins uselessly on the stub.

Actually I haven't had any window cranks fail. The only time I started having problems was with the Olds Delta 88 and the 86 CV. My Malibu, Nova, and the Chevette were all good. Even my 53 F-250 cranks still work smoothly. Pfffft @ you manual window haters:p.

Power Windows - FTW Even when they fail after 20 long years of service, theres nothing hard at all about repairing or replacing the motors.

Power Windows: Kill the "less is more" theme GMGT is going with.

Crank window tudors are about as rare as rockinghorse shit.

Uhhhh.......try exercising. Oh and at least the window cranks are working in your situation, because we all know it is so cool to have trash bags and duct tape to cover the non-functional window. Nothing is cooler than driving a bit passed the toll or drive thru and having to open the door and reach backwards to pay the guy/gal (or throw money into the basket at the tolls; unless there is a person, which is worse), grab your food, and get your change if you have any.

Oh and any way you see it, the door still has to come apart for either the electric windows and the cranks, the difference is that with the electric windows, ya gotta replace them more often. Twenty years, not bad, but try fifty and counting:p.

Less is less, not more. Whatever retard said "less is more" clearly failed basic math.

Crank windows are rare because nobody wanted it. Thats also why you never see non-AC models, or 4.2 liter motor models. Mind you I have seen a loaded CV LX with a 4.2. One. In the junkyard. Oddly enough in the good motor section too, it didn't last long there, apparently someone realized that in spite of the fact it ran, the 4.2 is not a "good motor".
