I wanted black police rims, but cant find them. Maybe i have the local power coating company do them black. It has a few surface rust spots nothing that concerns me yet..lol
Thanks
looks great mang!
sure is rare to find a Box MGM in black..let alone in great shape liek that one.
to GMN!
I see you're thinking of the Cop Car look...I would do the wheels something like this, only with the outer rim in a shiny aluminum color.
if it were me, I would just get some nice chrome wheels for it...I thought about some black cragars for my car, but I didnt like the look..altho...since your car is black, it might just look pretty kool.
Some aluminum or chrome wheels would look great on your MGM. Though I wouldn't discount PI wheels; like the wheels that Torquelover has on his car. All in all your car looks great; good foundation for a nice looking boulevard cruiser.
I'm with Packman on this one...either ones would look good...black cop style wheels or chrome/polished aluminum wheels...either one would look great on the car.
I'm a little partial to the chrome ones tho.
I got mine at Belle Tire for $48/each and that was with the center caps included...but I had to add an extra $20 for the chrome lug nuts.
I would recommend tho...if you decide to get aftermarket wheels, I'd suggest getting a 15x8 wheel...the stock ones are 15x6.5...but if you have 15x8s, you could go with pretty wide tires for some better handling.
mine are 15x7s, but I never thought to get 15x8s. *hits head with hammer*
and if you decide to go with the cop style wheels...I'd suggest getting 16" wheels instead of 15"...and if you could get them in 8" width, you'd be good....those would give you better handling since the sidewall would be smaller.
I only stuck with 15" wheels because I love the raised white letter look.
Cragar makes their "Soft 8" wheel up to 17" diameter.
Mr Land Yatcht i thought about the "Soft8". Im doing the "black-out look" as i love the look of a car that is black paint, windows[tint lol] and rims. Thanks everyone for the compliments!! I did start on the waxing last night[duh] and now i need to finish it. Maybe today and tommorrow

some good window tints will set that thing off for sure.
I dont know if you can tell from my sig pic, but I have 5% tint on my back 3 windows.
what percent tint were you thinking of doing? I would do 20%..dark enough to notice, but not too dark.
since you're waxing the car..have you ever Clayed your car? all it is is spraying the clean car with some liquid and moving it around with the claybar provided, wiping it clean...then waxing. it will make you paint silky smooth literally and helps the wax to stick better/longer...what sort of wax do you use?
cleaner wax usually works a little better in my experience...restores a little color and deepens the shine.
Im using Turtle wax "Platinum" I thought about the clay bar and still may do it. Im going with 20% tint on the back doors and window. For the front i will do 25% so my girl can drive and feel safe doing so. Looks like this coming week i'll have the cat back put on,but not sure with muffler what i want. I can say no glasspacks!! Im tossing up Borla and Mac,maybe Flowmaster. I may order a set of shorties instead of using my stock mustang headers.
Parts are coming left and right.
that turtle Wax Platinum is ok pretty good choice...I used it a couple times...gives a decent shine...very nice...but it did not last very long(as in a few weeks).
but claying might make it stick longer.
those tints would look good.
but I think 25% all arround would look better...or maybe 20-25% in the back and 35% on the fronts.
but I would check about the tint laws in your state before you do anything.
as far as mufflers go...those are all godo choices....SummitRacing.com sells a good chambered muffler that sounds very similar to a Flowmaster...I have them on my car....give a great tone and are not VERY loud...but they get louder the longer you have them...they're $38 each.
Summit also sells a great set of shorty headers for 5.0s...looks identical to the Ford Racing ones, but the steel is thicker(14 gauge instead of 16) and the flange is slightly thicker. They are quite reasonable for price...my ceramic coated ones were $240...very cheap for what they are.
