Probably a good idea. So, that's why there are a lot of Panthers for sale out here with around that mileage. The cars might have more life in them, but cannot be in service with that amount of miles?

BTW, here's the current location of the aftermarket gauges - I found the brightly-lit tach a bit distracting during nighttime driving. I still need to replace the busted light in the voltmeter and rig a way to dim the tach lighting further. (been planning that for a while, but right now the car's on jackstands losing its cats and gaining a H-pipe)



I also added a more correct civilian shift indicator to go with the civilian valvebody the car got circa 2004. This one was liberated from my '81 after I installed a 3-speed indicator.

Yeah, you're absolutely right about that. This car's interior is nice enough it'd be a dashed shame for that to happen. You can imagine my profound sense of relief when I got everything back together without breaking anything!!!
