And the reason for the belts not to match is that they have been replaced before you go that car.... Make any sence now?

I have a bucket seat car (seats from a 2004); mine was originally a split bench (velour). My '88 was originally a full power bench (vinyl), which I converted to buckets (like TL's, but blue velour). My Dad's car is a bucket seat car...

From what little I can tell, the nice nonadjustable ones like Greg's seem to be damn near nonexistant. Closest thing to those I've sat in were probably Mustang II vinyl buckets, and those are among the rarer seats I've actually seen for sale.2012 Mazda5 Touring | Finally working on the LTD again!

P72Ford, do you have any pics of your Brother's buckets? Doesn't Nathan in MN have P72 buckets as well?Last edited by torquelover; 05-15-2008, 11:11 PM.

Totally ... the fixed backs seemed to me to be a tremendous deal stronger than reclining models. And I know first-hand how Ford seatbacks can let loose in a rear-end collision.2012 Mazda5 Touring | Finally working on the LTD again!

Nate's are quite a bit different than yours. Aside from materials and padding, I remember them having the recline feature and the driver's seatback sagging to the right (though he keeps babbling something about not spending much time in the back seat ........).
These Granada seats look like potentially OK substitutes, though ... too bad the price is high and they're in Gumbledygook, Texas: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-...m170217714798&2012 Mazda5 Touring | Finally working on the LTD again!

i think the seats depended on the area......about 12 yrs ago when the ny box taxis were gettin scrapped like crazy i saw about 30 identical ones at harrys with tan vinyl bucket seats......havent seen a one in the u-pull-it yards since.....so i'm assuming it was a fleet thing
