Time to get out the spray paint and the wire brush and start painting small stuff, radiator hold downs, steering shaft, stuff like that. Its all minor but it makes a big difference in overall appearance. trust me, there are so many things I wish I'd taken the time to clean up and paint on my car its not even funny. Now I have to go back and work around installed parts to deal with making it look nice.

Reminds me, I should consider getting some little detailing cloths or something to see if I can keep my junk a little cleaner. It's starting to look a little gross under there - not horribly bad, but depressing considering I'd started out trying to make it look nice.

Any plans for getting some semi-flat Rust Tough and blacking out the hood and firewall?
hadn't thought about that, but that's a good idea...prolly gonna take off my insulation and clean up the bottom of the hood..but I dunno if I will paint it.

      thanx for the tips, Gadget73

Colin, man arrange those wires a bit better, not only do they look like shit now but you're also crossing them at near right angles, which is a bad idea since it can induce current where (more like when) it don't belong and thus cause misfire. Just straighten them and zip-tie them together till you get the fancy wire looms, you'll be surprised how much better it will look!

Ah, okay then, just remember no crossing wires - tis a plague for the older SBCs, and IIRC those actually use one of the SBF firing orders (nevermind the numbering), so I can't imagine it being good for us either. Speaking of which, what exactly is yer firing order, I'd imagine the truck/Mustang one?

Well, considering that the 1.7:1 aluminum roller rockers used on the '93-'95 Cobra were said to be supplied by Crane ....... as was the cam in the experimental 6.1L Cobra R .............

ding-ding-ding, we have a winner. Most of the roller valvetrain stuff is Crane actually.

I would be more worried about getting the car tuned better before something happens than gages and other chrome goodies. Engine will look good but a few fried valves and burnt pistons and it might run but at a loss.
