My bro's 92, soon to be mine.

Was my grandpa's since new, then he gave it to my brother this past spring, and as soon as he buys a truck it'll be mine for $0. 120,000 miles, always garage kept, aside from the valve seals it runs absolutely perfect. My bro put on the old dog-dishes... I think it looks pretty good, but I might get some newer style caps off of a Mountaineer, and it definitely needs dual exhaust.

Looks nice! What are the hub caps off of, anyway?

They came from an old 70's Econoline. They say "Ford Motor Company" around the middle circle. My dad got them at a garage sale for $5. I had them on my '86 GM in high school... They looked better on it:

(this is the last pic I have of it when the head gasket blew in the middle of nowhere on a road trip after high school in '02)

Well, I had it in high school and after senior year, some friends and I went on a road trip to meet some other friends at a campground in Ludington, MI. We got about half way there and started blowing thick white smoke, so we pulled over and the motor locked.

Luckily a friend of my dad's who lived about 1 hour away in Grand Rapids who I'd never met before and happened to be a mechanic came with a tow truck and picked us up. We stayed the night by him and the next day, took the motor apart to discover that it wasn't fixable or even worth it to try.

So our friends that had already been in Ludington and had a big van came and picked up us and our stuff. We stayed with them and went back to Chicago.

Later in the week I went with my dad back to get my belongings from the car and we decided to junk it, so I never saw it again. I miss it though... it was a really fun beater.

There's other pics of it on my myspace.

Wow that has to be one of the cleanest 92s I have seen. I dig the dog dishes on it. Welcome also!

I would have dropped another motor in it.

Well, it had over 150,000 miles on it. We got it originally with about 125,000 for $700 and I only had it for about 8 months. (I did a lot of driving!) I guess if it had died closer to home, I would've considered a different engine. But anyway I ended up getting (from another dude my dad knew) a 1981 Buick Electra Park Avenue with only 70k miles for only $600.

Nice lookin' 92'. A lot of the early aeros are starting to get run down out my way.

If you don't want those dog dishes any more I would be interested in them for my fairlane. As long as they are the right size.

From the look of your signature pic, they would definitely fit. Whenever I get the car and some different caps, I'll be sure to let you know.

Should be the same size...I can tell you for sure that hubcaps from a '56 Ford will fit Crown Vic police steelies. Ford never really changed the design of their 15 inchers.

Well, since I'll be getting it for nothing, I'll have a little money to play with. I'll definitely do dual exhaust. I'd like to swap out the 2.73 open diff for a 3.27 or 3.55 posi rear. I've already cleaned the egr channels, so no more check engine light, but I might do something to take care of the leaky valve seals. As mentioned before, I'd like to get some 16" steelies and Mercury Mountaineer center caps on the shouldered lugs. If i keep the 15" rims, I'd like to get some raised white letter tires.

                            w00t! white lettered tires! ftw!

yea, a 3.55 POSI would be great...I hear that there is a noticeable difference between 3.27s and 3.55s...so I would advise going with those.

good luck on the mods mang

Gearing helps big time. Just going from 3.08 to 3.27 is a noticeable difference off the line.

I've got some 14" steelies on my car, none of that hi-tech 15" stuff. lol
