The fuel economy should be as good as FI if it is set up properly. At least equal to one with a high stall converter. Usually the problem once its up right is the driver. The other prob is some one that knows how to do it and I am not very close by.

Oh, I know, I see it damn near every day with my truck and my car, but as you said the problem is right here:

Yah, that's one reason I'm contemplating on installing the Holley Annihilator digital box I've had for the last like 2-3 years in my truck - bought it for the Lincoln in hopes of getting rid of the TFI module, but it turns out that I still have to use the darn thing so now it just may go in my truck...
