Might as well give it some good hard WOT blasts to seat the rings. They don't seem to work so well if you baby the hell out of them. Just change the oil before it hits 500 miles.

werd...I'll make sure to give it more than a couple WOT runs...just not at every stoplight.
well, I just spoke with my uncle again...
the paint on the gauge layout took a long time to cure...he says that tonite is still a possibllity at this point, but if not it WILL be saturday at the latest.
he's going to call me later tonite to give me a definite answer...around 6:30ish
I pray its done tonite.
I'm also prayin' for patience..thats why I have it.
the gauges arent in yet...he has to make sure that paint is dry before they put them in.
but I will live if I gotta wait until saturday...I just let him know I have plans for tonite...so he knows I REALLY REALLY want it for tonite.
after this is all over, I'll have to buy him some beer.
lol...deep inside, I knew too.
but I dont want to believe it still...I'm still holding on to that shred of hope that it may be ready tonite...there's still a few hours left.
Yeah, but he didn't need to change the engine for that:heyhey:. Just a new rear seat cover woulda done the job.
Yeah, I guess he needs the seat cover if he got cloths seats... see, that's another advantage of vinyl seats right there - they wash real easy and come out real clean, even if you or yer "helper" manage to overspray :p Heck, my friend Lynn never used to dry out before jumping in, it was like straight out the water and in the car, no problems whatsoever, now she gotta use the trunk lid for sunbathing before she's dry enough as to not leave wet marks on them SXT seats. Oh, and the back seat is actually not comfortable at all for the exercise you speak of, front seats are much more suitable, well not mine right now obviously, but the stockers were damn near perfect
how long does paint take to dry? use a blowdryer!!
no blowdryer, paint will wrinkle, furnace is what's needed (heat chamber), but if he ain't got one then he ain't got one, so it's air drying which does take a while for some paints
Colin wants another Box for a DD so I can build a mild HO powered Box.
You can also do this..........let MAGNA be the hotrod. Then buy another box and make that your DD pimp mobile. Velour or better yet, silk seats, make sure that you got a compartment to hold the beer and or liquor, and a half way decent radio to play the slow music. Yeah baby!!!!!
let the guy finish the car......jeez i dont wanna work on your car if you call 3x a day lol
