Well, by that logic, do you have to find Chinese beer to install Chinese parts? If so, that alone is an argument for buying Hecho en Mexico. Negra Modelo is quite OK.

Everything was running well until a few weeks ago when the head gasket + ? blew. Current mileage is 214,752. Ending year mileage is 19,683. Which is definitely less compared to the past few years. Even though the Marauder was down the entire year, it didn't break 20k. Then again, because of the NHL lockout, I had to scrub roughly 7200 miles in road trips. Bastards.
This past year, I fixed:
-sway bar end links
-fixed fuel line
-replaced idler pulley
-200k tune up
Here is last years Goals:
-Complete PI motor swap.
-Rebuild front end suspension
-Replace all the brake lines
-Replace all the fuel lines with steel braided lines (this includes a new inline AN-style filter)
-Install newly painted header panel, trunk reflector and grill
-Possibly have the car painted, with fenders replaced as well.
This is how many were completed:
-
With the installation of the PI motor with come a host of new goodies and upgrades. Such as:
-ported upper plenum
-Rear cat delete
-Possibly adding under drive pulleys
I did buy a 75mm Throttle body for the PI motor as well.
OK, so here's the list of things that I would like to get done:
- Swap a Teksid block into the PI motor. Yes please, I'll take a 84 lbs reduction in weight.
- PI Torque converter to match the flywheel. It's a good thing there's one in my basement.
- Run all the new brake and fuel lines.
- fix the damn fenders
- paint the car. Two tone.
- powder coat the 17"s and get new rubber for them
- new springs and suspension bits.
- rebuild the front end.
- replace the rear speakers
- eco-mods; panel the bottom, block some of the front end, etc
It's been relatively good to me the past year. It deserves some time off after being driven like hell for the past three or so years.
Here's to another year of JUSTICE!!!!
Justice has been served! Now ford motor company hates you. They also hate the rest of us. All those new and exciting cars being produced. What do you do? Keep driving and reviving old panthers
