Ok, here's a few more pics and some narratives.
Before pics:
This set is from the 99-04 Mustang GT's.
For the Aero's, they require 1/4" spacers in the front, and 1.25" adaptets in the rear. The big issue with the rear is that the axles on Aero's are 2" shorter than Whales.
Always torque the adapters to spec.
This is the first wheel installed. Just showing a difference betwern the styles.
I did have to grind about 1/4" off the tips of the studs in the rear. They protruded through the adapters, which is no good. The rims must sit flat on the face of the adapter.
The tires are 245/45 R17 ZR on all four corners.
The ride is extremely smooth, and turning is easy and smoothererer.
Highway cruising is effortless. And these wheels are way lighter than the outgoing setup. I'm going to weigh them next week and see what the difference is.
Until next time...

I was visiting the inlaws near Skippyville, so it wasn't that bad. Just under 2 hours to NYC from there.

Speedo is not F'd up. It's the same as it was before.
Not gonna fix the fender, unless I come accross something sweet either up here or during ScottFest.
Just rocking and rolling. Tie rod assemblies should be going in tomorrrow evening.

nice... and a well lubricated crossmember. as all Ford/Mercury vehicles tend to have.

I also found out that the idler arm is shot. So, time to acquire parts and probably go rebuild the front end next weekend.
Blarg.
It will take a while to do. I have to take off the control arms and such, strip it, powder coat them, and install it.
It should be nice.
