    Dad's '79 Mercury zephyr

Well my dad is a chevy guy, and always buggin me about my 2 mercs, so this comes to a suprise, you all know i baught MeanVic84's zephyr off him, well i owed my dad some money, so in return i gave him the zephyr, and now he's doing it all up, so now he wont be able to make fun of my 2 cars
well here it is when MeanVic84 owned it

Well my dads going to paint it 2 tone blue, he got the base coat on the bottom half of the car so now he just has to do the top and clear coat it, the top is going to be a steel blue, and the bottom will be the colour you see in these pics, he also added hood luvers and put the other tail lights back in

Looks good man, although I actually kind of like the blue that's on there 2-toned with the original color, although I'm probably the only one who thinks anything of it.

Hey that little 200 saw a lot of action. I've blown the doors off this bone heads caprice I don't know how many times and it has never let me down. Last year i got it suck in the snow and I had it floored and even then it didn't break down and it still ran smooth.

200's will take a ton of abuse thanks to 7 main bearings! One six builder I spoke to said the bottom ends were ready for 7,000 rpm, but the upstairs needed some help.

It needs more than a little help, more like major surgery. The 200 cylinder head is a horrible design. It can all be rectified with an aluminum piece or an import aussie or south american head.

My 34k mile, 200 was a dog and I did a full tune up on it.
