No!!! Back in the day, a new '01 Maxima schooled my '86 GT. How about a nice set of twins like these:

The real question is whether the malibu would keep up in a burnout contest. I think not seeing as its FWD, and it probably has trac control. The malibu doesn't hold up in the appearance contest either; or sound (as in exhaust note) for that matter.

dang i havent updated in a LONG time...

i installed a new convertibkle top on it today..

                          pics removing:

i had it completley off by mid day

it came off in pieces... literally.. it was extremely brittle, which is why alot of new cracks formed since i bought it

well liner removed revealed my trunk. well liner just needs a cleaning, still in good shape

nthese next few pics are of it mostly installed. some final adjustments need to be made, and also installation of the rear glass. but for the most part, its installed and pretty tight too!

a very nice surprise during the installation
the guy who rebuilt my pump motor came by and delivered the motor. turns out it was indeed fixed and it was my fault i wasnt working.. because i never connected the chassis ground to it! stupid me.. i installed it and now the power top works just fine!

you may noticed ina few of the pics.. i have a new spoiler, trunk rack delete, cobra tail clones, painted license plate bucket. i'll post better pix of that later.

BTW i started off with this top:

it looked much worse by the time i took it off. it started to crack evereywhere

nice nice. That old top was pretty screwed. There was a teacher that had an 85 GT 'vert when I went to school, top was covered in duct tape to keep the water out.
