Thanks! I have been planning to make them functional ever since they were placed on the hood. I just haven't had time to get around and actually do any work to the car for a while. Right now it is sitting in my driveway under a cover. I haven't touched it for about a week. I'll keep ya updated though! It shouldn't be too hard of a task to complete. Wish me luck!

Give a man a fish and he will be fed for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will promptly forget that he once did not know, and proceed to call anyone who asks, a n00b and flame them on the boards for being stupid.

Old Blue, those scoops look a little out of place to me, have you thought about swapping them left to right? I believe they will "flow" with the general shape of the hood much better then. Also have you ever considered a bigger single scoop, like the one I got?

I think you made good on that goal.

I love the 5 speed, I give you alot of credit on that. Plus its pretty rare to see an 81 in such good shape.

Stripes, lettering, diamond plate, stick on scoops, hubcaps have all got to go imo.

Thanks! It was a lot of work. Thanks for the opinion but, it's staying. The hubs are going though for a new set of cragar wheels. Everyone has their own tastes I guess. This is mine and I absolutely love the way the car is. But, thanks for the compliments! I appreciate that!

Thanks! I have spent many hot afternoons working on this thing...I guess it pays off. I'm not crazy about the wheels either...they're soon to be replaced though. I checked that out over at Summit Racing and I think I'm going to order one of those. I think it would be a nice touch to the car. Thanks for the link!

not a problem mang...glad to help...I figured it would fit in very nicely.

what were you thinking for wheels?
if you like the black wheel type...Cragar makes some nice ones...
these are some of the black ones that Cragar makes...I like these:

but I would recommend something like this for your car...

if you can get a picture of your car from an angle like this..I can photoshop both or just one of those wheels like I did in this pic with my car...these are Cragar SSs
its not perfect, but it would give you a good idea of what wheels would look like.

                      Hey,
Those chrome wheels are exactly like what I am looking for. I'll try to get a pic in that angle later today (when it's not as hot outside!) lol! I appreciate you doing this for me. Now I can focus on what the look of it would truly be. I've always wondered what it would really look like and now I get to see. I get that pic uploaded later today! Thanks!

no problem mang...I'm usually bored at work, looking for something to do ....just so you know...those particular Cragar SSs that I photshopped onto my car are like $145/each new...if you want those, I would look on Ebay/Craigs List for them...they're a universal wheel..so you would need to get the bolt adapters for them.
those others are a lot more reasonable.

btw, you can just send me the pic thru a Private Message if you prefer...
but whtever you want to do is good.
