Well people, there has been a slight change in plans. The machine shop called me today and told me that my block needs to be bored out .30 over which in my opinion is way to thin plus it would cost an extra 300 bux so that motors a write off. Now i have a 351 Windsor lined up for the Vic. Its a rebuilt Windsor out of my dads 69 Cyclone that he said I can use because he is going to put a 460 in his Cyclone. So my Vic will be back doing what she was meant to do in no time, tearing up the streets.

Sweet! Always nice when things work out better than expected. Hope everything goes smoothly, you will need the 351 accessory brackets for the swap.

+1 on the crank windows. Power windows are great... until theres a problem. I'd prefer crankers.

.030 over isnt bad at all...In fact its the norm for most rebuilds...Mine is .040 over which isnt ideal but its gonna work fine. When you get to .060 then it gets creepy.

Well I've known a couple people who have had their engines bored to .030 over and started to rub holes in the cylinder walls. Besides a Windsor will be better anyway and it's the hi performance version because it's a 69 Windsor.

Here are a few pics I took this weekend of the motor swap. The 302 was yanked out and is the one that is in the back of my dads truck. Look closely at the front of the car and you will notice I had put a 79 grille on. The engine that is in the air is the Windsor that went in the car later that day. I didn't get any pics of the motor in the car, I'll do that this weekend. The Cyclone is the car that I got the Windsor out of.

The motors always been a Duraspark ignition. It was on Duraspark when it was in the Cyclone. I hate points, in my opinion, they are fuckin junk.
