Some of the engine parts came today. I got, my new set of roller lifters, since someone (wasn't me) broke one of them when removing them. Got a set of 1.6 roller rocker arms. Bearings also came, cam, mains and rod bearings! Oil pump, pick up shaft and drive shaft. Gasket kit as well. The rest of the stuff, pistons, rings, pushrods and the harmonic balancer should be here within the next few days!

Everything is here! Lol. For the internal engine lol. Rings, pistons and timing kit came yesterday, valve springs, head bolts, connecting rod nuts, and head expansion plugs came today. Still honing the block, and hopefully in the next few weeks, the engine will be reassembled and hooked up on the dyno to see what it can do! Gotta pick up a few other odds and ends for the motor, like the water pump, valve covers, and pullies for crank and water pump when I run it on the dyno.

I'm joining the underhood fusebox bandwagon, I picked up a '94 panther fuse box and a '98 Taurus fusebox. I was thinking I might use the Taurus box since it has more fuse and relays. But I kinda scrapped the idea since it is way too long to really fit anywhere without me modifying other shit. So I tore apart the Taurus box and the panther box to get a complete panther box. I gotta get some more pins for the other two relay boxes which will be my headlight relays.
I also scored another '86 heater pipe, which will be cleaned up and thrown on the gt40 intake. Also got some door lock motors that I hope work. For the drivers door. We'll see.

Oh and the motor? It's coming along quite nicely. The block is honed and clean now. All core plugs are in, cam and crank are installed as well. Piston and rod assemblies will be assembled next, and the piston rings will be properly gapped next. The cylinder heads are milled, and ready for reassembly as well. I'm getting excited, in the next few weeks, if everything goes well, we'll get to run it on the engine dyno! Woohoo! I'll keep you informed.

Had the engine on the dyno today, beautifully. I have some power pulls. Best one so far 258.3hp@ 4900rpm and 326.5ftlbs torque@ 3600rpm. I do have the sheets to prove it but I don't have a working scanner lol. Pic in Going to Explorer 302 thread. Will have more Monday.

                  wow, that's torquey.

With the 4900RPM peak are you going to be putting an HO governor in the trans?

How would one go about swapping in the HO governor?

Yeah more than likely, it has to be done so I can drive it to school. All of it should be able to get done this weekend...
