there is a special type of adhesive they have at a parts store just for rearview mirrors. i bough some and never had a problem with it. let me check out what the brand is called and i will get back to you. just a warning once using this stuff i used your mirror will not come off if you try you will guarantee break your windshield. the trick is to glue the tab on first and push on it firmly for a good minute or two than let it sit the rest fo the day and the next day attach the mirror. this is a kit i have used for my rearview mirror and it just happens so i have extra left so when i come down for my heater core i will give it to you.

Not that this is an option for you anymore but...I drilled and tapped the mounting bracket of the rear-view mirror so a set screw would hold it in place on the stock windshield mount. I think a little bending of the metal within the mirror bracket was required for a secure jiggle free snug fit.

For John as he has the newer mirror. They utilize a different mounting method.

Alrighty, if anyone followed my Facebook posts, you would have seen that I got some Blue Velor Signature TownCar seats from an 89 TownCar at Harry's U-Pull-It in Hazleton,PA. Honorable mention goes to Matt, since he bought my old cats and emission pipe for his 83 two door. Anyway, I picked up this set for about 80 bucks. And after finally wrestling the old back seat out and replacing the one stud on the passenger side seat, it was well worth it. Without further ado... Pics

Some vacuuming, some swearing, some heat, an impact gun, a hammer, 2 T50 bits, and behold! Signature seats. They are so comfy. I love them. Also in my endeavors, I got the headlights on chime to ding. Apparently the headlight switch lost it's ground, because if I'm touching the switch and touching a ground, it will ding.

*Edit* I noticed that in the pics the seats look brownish in places. That's just the way the light is hitting it. They aren't faded at all.

Second domelight doesn't sound like a bad idea ... be better still to install nice side-mounted lights like on upscale '90-ish N-bodies.
