Quick question, was the ashtray pull out with the little cigarette on it orgional to the car? Its pretty neat.
Also nice work!
George
My original one did not have that. That pull down is from an '88, they may all have had that and it faded away, the 88 was a non smoker car, whereas mine was.
Car is being kinda meh.
When I went up to Skippyville the last time, the wipers decided to break on it.
It was revealed later, when we had gotten back from SoF, that the retaining clip that holds the motor to the transmission broke. It broke due to a collection of dirt, leaves and the like, plus frozen water. I cleaned out the stuff, which felt like about 10 pounds of shit, and now the water drains, as it should. Thain came up with a wiper clip. And installed the new one for me. Thanks Thain!
In my last day, I finally got the courage to swap the front drivers door from Val's wrecked '89. A few differences I noted, there's only one hole in the door, for the wiring harness to come out, whereas my door had 2. The hole is bigger on the '89 so I couldn't use the conduit from my old door. So I needed to swap that also. So after a long fight with that, the drilling of the 3 holes to pull my power window motor out, and the adventure of swapping the door lock actuator holder, and some help from Skippy holding the door as I started the hinge bolts, I had a new door. Here are some pics of it at home.
Also have a pic of the K code rear, when I first got it. Also some pictures of things to come for Vicky, after she gets painted.
I still have to buy the side lenses from Petemang, then I'll have a complete set
So your vicky is pretty rusty I'm guessing? I never realized how much I love these cars until I realized all the body modifications you can do to eliminate rust so it's never really a problem Good luck though!

It's better than most I've seen, the B pillar rot just scares me though. I might, if I'm aloud to, cut the passenger side b pillar from val's wrecked '89.
