exploder upper intake...something special is attached....

A few nights ago, I was talking to Thain about some strange things I found on my intake manifold. Basically this about the two black pipes going around the large vacuum hose. These pipes were hooked to the heater pipe on the passengers side of the engine. I was a little surprised and confused when I saw these lines. If I had to guess they are some sort of cooler. Kinda like the egr spacer cooler on the vics and stuff. I don't know, but as promised I got pics for you Thain, even though they are a day late. Thanks Phil.

:p Damn your progress. If I find some nice white doors, I'll be happy. Or any non rotting door for that matter.

My car is still in more pieces than yours though.

At least your car is in one color.

Almost one color. I need to pull off the bumpers to get at all of the filler panels. You are doing all of the work yourself though which is much more fulfilling than having others work on it.

True. I hate body work. Sooooo much time, sooooooo much crap. But it's worth it. I love not seeing the dents that used to be there.

Front end is one color. Dark gray. Same color as the roof, trunk, and hood. Body work is on hiatus, until I can locate some decent doors. Will be working slowly now that there are no more body classes. The teacher is willing to help me out with the rot on the b pillar on the passenger's side, other than that, it's basically some dents, primer then paint! Gonna need a fuel pump soon, got very loud recently, not too bad right now, but I don't want to pay another tow truck bill. On a good note, the engine work is going well too, I milled the block today and will be boring it tomorrow. Either 20 or 30 over bore, I haven't decided yet.

I ordered a fuel pump from Summit. One for a mustang rated at 155lph. It should be here in the next few days. I also ordered a new oil pan, and a set of injector o rings.

Fuel Pump and o rings came yesterday! Oil pan and gas tank straps came today! I'm having the fuel pump put in tomorrow. Updates on the engine, The heads are almost completely done! Just yesterday I installed bronze valve guide liners since the guides weren't too warn. I'm in the process of grinding the valve seats now. The block is being bored 20 overbore. Half of it is done, the other half should be done tomorrow and then I'll put it on the honing machine. I'm ordering the parts for the motor tomorrow. I'm so excited!!!

I have no idea what was said but I do know for sure that you should take it easy around the corners once the new engine is in. :p

Damn, did I miss the memo about the '86 CV fuel pump rebellion of 2010? Speaking of which, I have the old fuel pump from which I can model the Mustang pump off of when I get around to doing another engine.

Fuck you Dave :p jk mang.

Packman, my fuel pump was still working. It just recently got a little loud, and it won't hold fuel pressure after shutting the ignition off. Found out that the connectors on the pump, and the wires were in really bad shape. Those were all replaced and it runs strong.

Mustang one was way too small. Wouldn't fit with a hose clamp, must've been another one. Anyway, got a stock replacement, they're rated at 44gph, which makes out to about 166lph. Even better than the pump that I bought from summit. The pump is very quiet!!
