Good news and bad news. The car is basically back together. Bad news, I need a new water pump. Oh goody goody. So I started the bitch up, and when I did, there was this god awful noise metal noise. That wouldn't get quiet. I assumed it was the water pump because I thought there wasn't enough water in the system when I took the old radiator out. But I put water in there before I started her so that should've taken care of any lubrication issues from the pump. So I shut the car down and saw some smoke coming from the top weep hole of the water pump, and a nice stream of water/antifreeze coming out of the bottom weephole in the pump. So I guess it's time to pull the front of the motor off and replace the pump. I'll pick up a pump monday, and put a tent around the car because I am not waiting another week to get this car back together. Rain rain rain all week.

impact may have tweaked something, especially because it was dead center.~David~

It's been a while, so I can't entirely remember what can stay on the front of the motor, and what has to come off for the water pump. Can someone please refresh my memory?
On an off topic note, this Friday marks the 2 month anniversary of the accident.

So I tried to spin the water pump, it barely turned without a lot of force. So I basically made sure that the water pump was causing all of my problems. I still have to get the hood aligned. But I spent most of today putting a tent up so I can work on the car at home in the rain all this week, because this car is gonna get done this week.

Great news everyone! The hood is now lined up. Thanks to dad. I don't know what he did, and he won't tell me. I got the new water pump, and it is installed. I haven't ran the car yet, because I haven't had time to throw the alternator on. I will have it all back together tomorrow, and hopefully, I will have the bumper on it as well. Vicky will definetely be back on the road before Friday, I hope!
