Neat watching the rise and fall and (partial) rise again of a car, especially since it's a similar model and year to mine, done by someone in a similar budget situation.

Good luck on getting it all purrty again.

Well, we actually went yesterday to get the rest of the parts. All those damn body clips are being replaced, and so are most of those bolts too. I need to clean the core support, and get rid of all of that rust (miryatic acid???), so much rust on the bottom, yet it hasn't rotted through so that's good enough for me. Maybe next week the car will at least be running. Still need to get a good radiator, transmission cooler, condenser, and fan. That about covers it for the mechanical aspects of the car. This is assuming the car's frame is fixed like in the next few days. I need to get the paint code off the door so I can get the header panel and the other stuff painted before I put them on the car.

          Come on down!!

Well here's a cool update. The guy at the muffler shop was able to heat and bend the frame back to where it belonged for 50 bucks! Looks good. I had it towed back home. So for the hell of it, I threw on the core support and tried to see if I could get the fenders lined up. So I messed with them, and I got the body lines lined up but the chrome trim and pinstriping is in different places on the passenger side, on the drivers side everything lines up. Go figure. I need to figure out the shimming and spacing for the fenders, so the fenders line up nicely with the doors and the header panel. God I wish these parts were white, I'd have everything almost ready. You mangs got any tips with hanging the fenders??

Another update mangs!! I got another bumper from the junkyard!! I also got the radiator, fan, condensor and transmission cooler too! I am going to drill some holes to make reinstallation of the body parts easier, cause tomorrow, I'm taking it all apart and painting the core support, possibly I may be prepping and priming the fenders, hood and header panel tomorrow. Wee!!!!

The extent of the body damage was the fenders, hood, core support and header panels. The roof is fine, and so is the windshield.

Dave, right now it's 10:32, so it's too dark for pics. Since Phil is being a pain and not posting the pics, looks like I'll have to take some pics of the assembled, black white combo on vicky. YOU SUCK PHIL! Just messing mang.

An update!! The core support is now black. Like no more rust. I painted the fan, and some other stuff to contrast the core support. The new radiator, condensor, transmission cooler, fan and fan shroud are hung. All I need is a passenger side fender to run the car.

K, the car is almost ready to reassemble now. Cornering lamps have been cut out of the black fenders, and will be primered tomorrow, weather permitting. Everything is looking pretty good I must say. For two guys who know almost nothing about painting/bodywork, it looks pretty good. Thank god these panels were straight! We're only primering it though, we'll have someone else take care of the actual painting of the whole car at another time. Weather permitting, I can reassemble the whole thing permanently.

Oh really, the black fender dont have cornering lamps options right? so you cut it for to put cornering lamps in.

Yup, you got it. Jig saw does wonders mang. And though it's not exactly like how Ford made the holes. But it looks like they cornering lamps have always been there.
