Huh...... just when I was thinking Jaguar and Aston-Martin were the only English marques.

Just kidding - partly, anyway ... I did know that Vauxhall was still making their junk.

Funny how that Mondeo actually looks 1/25 of the way interesting ...... unlike its American counterpart. Also weird how hatchbacks suddenly went bye-bye in this country a few years ago.

The closest we come over here is the Contour SVT, but it's not a hatch :-( Would the mondeo pass emissions here so we could ship them in? I knwo it would be expensive but damn, you'd be the only one here with one.

I'm 27 and still have my second and third cars, and I'd probably still have the first one if it hadn't said good morning to a tree 10 years ago. What do you guys do with all those cars???

So Vauxhall is run by General Motors? I did not know that. So the old Nova was probably identical to the front-wheel-drive Nova Chevrolet marketed in this country back in the '80s.

And what's the relationship between "Rover" and Land Rover? And isn't there also something called Range Rover?

Yep, Land Rovers were born fom the parent company of Rover back in 1948.. in the early 70's they wished to create a luxury 4x4 so created the Range Rover... and now they are all split up. (wel Range & Land rover Arent) and Rover itself ceases to be any longer. (LR & RR are now owned by Ford!)

And that Vaux Nova is about 10' long so is a diddymodel.. its called the Corsa throughout the rest of Europe as 'NOVA' means No GO in spanish! lol
