Dave's right, the '79 bumper would look great on that '82. Looks great all cleaned up under there. Next step: exhaust, four-barrel, cam swap? Great that it's spinning a tire as-is, though. What gears did you say were in it?

Oh yeah, if we don't already have one, we need to get together a how-to on how to recurve a Duraspark distributor. I've got two I need to do......

I haven't completely decided on the bumper. I'l either go with the 79 bumper or a keep the stock one and add a police push bumper if i can find one.

I might try and get a stock h pipe to put on for now, and do some interior work, general cleanup, and rust repair. Then i'l be doing some work on the marquis like trading that cfi crap for a 4 barrel. The wagon has a 3.42 open rear end, lot better than 3.08.

Yep, the headliner isn't a big deal and it really isn't all that rusty, i went with that nickname because it was the first thing that came into my mind. I'd like to get it painted some point this year, black wagons are beautiful. Hope you're able to get a panther soon.

Vaccum canister from a 199? panther, getting rid of the soup can was on the top of my list of things to do, i switched it on my merc too. Looks much cleaner and more modern.

Nice wagon, I know ford did some wierd stuff. my wagon is a canadian only model. It was built in the states in KM/h with marquis badges but it is a meteor in all paperwork definitions. yours is probally the oppsite when the started building them in st Thomas Ontario. Cool about the production numbers on the cheep models....mine is one of 2219 units. Your wagon looks good!

I noticed mine was such a base model it didn't even have a hood ornament. Thanks for the compliment, i have always loved your wagon, especially the black paint

Not at all, $250. Right in the price range i was looking for, something i could put a little work into and kill some time.

Nifty pics. It's like they're art or something!

Half seriously, I wonder what sort of Panther shots would sell in a photographic gallery ..... :waiting:

Thanks for the comments. Yep need new low beams along with a lot of other stuff. Last week I installed the newer style chrome blinker switch, and upgraded to intermittent wipers with the chrome switch as well. Also ditched the analog clock and put in a tripminder. Fuel stuff doesn't work unless i can find a fuel sensor for a carbed model, but it looks better at least. Going to do a little rust repair soon.
