Just got a bit more work to do on the gauges. Yeah, cracked windshield, notice a lot more in the video, would love to finally get it fixed some day... somehow I always find something else to spend the money on though.

In the middle of re-doing my center console as well... at last, a cup holder

The gauge cluster is neato! Wish I had room for real gauges in the speedometer area of the CV. I may have to look into it still...

What is it shifting at? Looks like just over 4 grand? Do you have the Hi-Rev governor? Might be a thought, it not.

          But, as always, nice work.

Sounds like a stock trans with the lopo gov, complete with slop-shift and ~4200 rpm WOT shift points to me.

You're running the new cable, right? How hard was it to install?

Haven't had time to install the new cable yet actually. I had gotten the old one rigged up to work enough to get by until I have some time. Finals week next week, so it will probably be sometime after that. The old cable is noisy and makes the speedo flutter quite a bit around 40, so looking forward to having the proper one in.

Usually shifts somewhere around 4200-4400. Completely stock trans unfortunately, just have never gotten around to doing anything with it. I really hate working on trans stuff, and since it works i haven't been overly inclined to screw with it. BTW, in that second run i didn't have it in OD.

So for the best power/performance where do I want it to be shifting? Trans stuff has never been my strong suit.

I'd say to shift it manually around 5000, with the HO cam.

My new VB is supposed to deliver a 5400 rpm shift at WOT. Talking to a few folks, including Dan at Silverfox, that is what he recommended for my set-up. And he is Mustang people.

I can always adjust it via his screw in the VB, so we'll see how it goes.

A few updates from the last several months:

New windshield finally, had been broken since 2005...

A couple months ago I installed a gentex-177 autodim mirror with compass and temp display. Also hardwired and mounted my radar detector above the mirror, makes it very hard to tell its there from any direction and seems to still pickup radar just fine. I wanted to have it permanently mounted, but not somewhere where it can be seen easily from outside the car so I don't have to worry about it being stolen. The detector is powered with key on and a switch on, so I can turn it off easily at any point without screwing with the detector itself. Also replaced the dome light with a little 16 LED panel.

And just recently I got my new wheels and tires. Got them from the Roush mustang ebay store. Take-off's from a 2013 mustang, good deal too, $550 shipped.
Replaced the mustang center caps with some blue oval ones, and got some 1.5" spacers to make them fit right. Installed everything this week, its great having some decent tread again and much quieter. 225/60/17 BF goodrich radial T/A spec tires.

I'll try to get some more pics up soonish, including some better ones of the radar detector bracket.
