I decided to redo what I wrote....
About my Mercurys
I have both a ‘93 Grand Marquis and a ‘03 Marauder both magnificent automobiles.
I'll start off with the Grand Marquis;
It was about 20 years ago, I had my ‘73 Impala it was running smoothly until the engine finally dies at 246K miles. So I was looking for a new car to commute to work with, so I looked for larger full sized vehicles. I picked up a magazine and looked at the front cover it said: 1991 Grand Marquis: Highest safety rating in its class, so I test drove and boy I was in love it handled awesome and looked great to! Sadly I couldn't afford it that year and another problem was it was the last year for the look, I was a bit sad and shocked so I got the Impala fixed. In early 1993 I looked in the showroom and seen a beautiful
Black Grand Marquis, it was great looking handled good and it was $8000 off only catch was it was used and upon inspecting it, it had a bent frame causing it to jerk to the left so it was a no go.
A month later I seen a beautiful silver birch Grand Marquis LS brand new with 1 kilometer on it.
Later I closed the deal and managed to get 4000 off the price, it was for sure a steal!
After eight years its age began to show and it had problems such as a burning fender, the strouts on the car were fading and the interior started to look bad. A year later fire came from the rear of the car, I pulled at the side of the road and looked the strout was completely burnt up, it was installed upside down and caused the suspension to be defected.
Since then I no longer used the Grand Marquis, and I was looking for another full size to replace it.
I was looking at countless grand marquis but I didn't like them until I seen on a dealership lot and seen a large full size with chrome rims and leather bucket seats. I asked the salesmen WTF is it, and he gave me a brochure about the Marauder. After reading it, I took a test drive and I was amazed at the handling and the power of the car. It had plenty creature comforts like heated seats, 302 HP, 6-CD changer, trunk organizer map pockets and other awesome things on the car. When I asked for the price I was plesently shocked! After going through dealer-to-dealer the place where I test frove the Marauder is where I bought it, wayyy under MSRP.
After bringing the Marauder home, I went for a cruse around the city and at the red lights a cop gave me a thumbs and said Nice Marauder! Boy was it a good day, its a great car!
There are no modifications to the car yet I'm planing on getting the following with-in a month or two:
-Front and Rear Sway bars
-Fully adjustable QA1 shocks
-Rear Spoiler
-Tune
-Widen rear rims
-Supercharger
After joining MM.net and MCM, I gained information about the Marauder and got goodies such as:
An original window sticker for the MM
The fact there are only 470 for Canada, and there are seven in my neighborhood what are the odds of that?!
A very nice atmosphere to expand my knowledge on the Marauder!
And just yesterday I rolled 53500 Kilometers!
All I can say is the Marauder definitly gave me many miles of smiles; and more to come!
