214 miles round trip and an impressive fuel milage of over 21MPG. Impressive for factory 3.55 and a good deal of 75MPH driving.

At least one of you will know where I went (two if he gets back in here, LOL.) worked on a '79 MGM, an '87 351 carbed CV, and saw a '78 MGM and a '94 MGM.

After visually confirming it was not a cop pulling a Uey to come after me, I figured they must be lost or missed the next side street. He followed me for about a half mile to the next light that turned red as I pulled up. All the while I wasn't thinking anything of the vehicle behind me, nothing suspicious just someone who needs to go back the direction they came from. I was going straight and he pulled into the left lane next to me.

"Hey fella, you wouldn't be interested in selling that would ya?"
I laughed with a huge grin, "I just bought it."
      "What year is that?"
"It's an '89, they only made this body for 2 more years."
      "Those are hard to find."
Light turned green he made his left and I went straight.
While I was waiting in the parking lot for my SIL at the store, this same guy had to stop and talk to me again, LOL. Third time he's had to stop and talk to me. Of course he again asked if I would sell the car. And the answer again was no.

Mark lives! Good to know, glad he's still got the barge. Hope he's doing alright.

There are two dudes who roam our neighborhood. When they see me out in the yard, the one will ask if I want to sell the K1500 and the other is really hoping to buy the F-150 for his son. Neither are for sale.

I figured you would know where I was based on the cars I listed.
We mostly worked on the '79 MGM. I think there is something binding on the throttle shaft keeping it from fully returning most of the time. Other than that we had it running and idling pretty good when we could get the throttle to fully return.
The '87 CV I'm pretty sure will need the engine pulled, it's not sounding good. Something is clattering in there. We took the valve covers off and it does not appear to be anything there so it's something further into the engine. The noise also did not go away with the serpentine belt off. The noise did occasionally not occur randomly, at which time the engine sounded normal.

Wonder if it's the flex plate. With how cheap the 351 I got for our F-150 was, I'd go that route over diagnosis. So Mark could keep his eye out for one, buy it and then swap it in.

The clattering sound didn't sound that far back, but without a stethoscope sound can travel and it's easy to be fooled and think the sound it not that far back. I should have recorded a video of it.

Got a rock chip in the '98 windshield yesterday, so I parked it in the garage so that it wouldn't get water in it so that the resin rock chip repair kit has the best chance of succeeding when I finally get to it. So I drove the wagon today and will until I get to the rock chip repair.
