Unless you can't afford a new IAC (if that is your issue) I'd simply change it since you are already going through the trouble of removing it.

I'm thinking if the '96+ setup, as far as I can tell from the interwebs, behind the throttle body like Frankie said. Follow the elbow down I think on the driver side.Vic

Wonder if I should park it and do the EGR cleaning, t connector in back, and the IACV in one full swoop. Probably easier accessibility wise.

If using two, the top, hard to get to one, needs to be one of the two otherwise you risk breaking things in the long term. If you use 2 impact swivel joints (the ball joint style - much more stable) and even more extensions, you can get all the way in front of the cross member for a little more clearance to move.
Also, no worries about how long it took. That top bolt is a PITA to reach if you don't have exactly the right tools. First one I did with help from a friend and it still took us over 2 hours. The next one I did, took about 1 hour, not counting the run to the store to get the new one.

I managed to get all three in, took me 1.5 which was one third the time it took me to get them out....right extension combo has to be exact. New starter is on with a new preventive maintenance alt to boot.
Cleaned out the iacv for my tough idle that comes and goes. Still there, but found the vac leak....its this yellow line, nit sure what it is for. I loose it under the wiper control plastic housing. Also, is this the t people speak of? I did the emission t already. Also the small gray wire or is it a silicone vaccum line(?) goes into its own tee as well.

I thought it was that yellow vac line....it goes right under the wiper assembly and its completely inaccessible. Gonna have to take out some shit. I wonder if my booster just happened to take a dive. The leak is actually coming for behind the round neck of the throttle body by egr as carb cleaner smoothed out the idle during spray. I just ordered a whole silicone vaccum tubing kit from Amazon. Just going to replace every vac line.
