IIRC they are marked. Maybe look at other side? I may be wrong.

The upper ball joint mounts are supposed to be closer to the rear of the control arm. Verified on my 93.

Yes, friction grid down so it grips the position better as the landing surface should have the same.

I see you got the bars in.
+1, the later model uppers are marked L and R, take a look at the '99 uppers I dropped off today you'll see. Interesting that those aren't marked.
You're getting close to putting it all back together it looks like.Vic

Now I got to push these bushings in, like WTF. No shop around here will touch it.

The bushing pressing is definitely the part of this project that sucks the most. There is just no properly good place to be able to mount the arms to press them, and the cheap overseas-sourced tools that are similar to the OTC/Ford specialty tools are too weak to make it happen.
My first time around, I dropped the arms and bushings off at a shop (standard auto repair place) and paid $120 (as I recall) for them to push the old bushings out and new bushings in. My second time around, my friend and I fought with them in a sturdy vise with heat and an air hammer.
The $120 was worth it. It also makes Energy Suspension poly bushings seem more appealing because you reuse the old shells (only applicable when using 92-94 arms with shaft already installed, of course), but I've kept away from those for fear of increasing road feel too much.

Thanks for the advice Kish, took your advice and found a shop $50 installed....got me in and out which is rare these days.maybe because I removed the old bushings.
In the process of reinstall. There is a slot. Does the retaining nut below center the control arms? Or do I shoot for dead center?

my car starts and it has AC. Yours doesn't start and it has no AC. Seems obvious to me.
