Wow, I was really not with it last night. Looks like I even commented on your wreck on CarDomain! D'oh! Still, great to see that everything is fixed up nice.

By the way, just out of curiousity - what was the body shop bill to fix the quarter?

Glad to see her all fixed up again!

How about getting some chrome trim on the underside of the skirts?

The paint looks good, but the wheel covers should go. Then clean the tires and steelies and it'd look great. Also, it's just my opinion, but I think the skirts don't look good, they look like they don't belong on the car, maybe it's cuz they're too short. But as long as you like it that's fine.

You know what might make the fender skirts look right (at least, to those who don't like them) ... eliminate the rear wheelwell lips, add chrome to the bottom of the skirts, and extend the side molding across the skirts. Of course, the surgery that would require to the quarters would be a major pain. I wonder if I can put together a pic of what that might look like ....

Fender skirts, wide white walls, lakes pipes, and while you're at it, a little flame thrower action to boot. That car looks sweet as is!!!! The red paint and the blacked out grille give it a sporty look. I think it goes well with what you got. Good job!!

I think in the early eighties the domestics were trying to recapture that fifties style of vehicle design without the fins and curves. Mercury GM, Ford CV, Buick LaSabre, Olds. Delta 88 and 98, and the Chevy Caprice all have a basic full sized boxy look. If you were really good at sheet metal layout, you could do a lot with these cars; and they are still relatively plentiful and cheap.

                                Ooooh! Very nice!
but I think I'm with Nathan on those fenderskirts...not a huge fan of them.
but with that photochop job that Mike did, they dont look too bad at all.
That paint sure is glossy! Reminds me of my car
That sure is the Cherry Bomb!
